I don’t have a set time when I write, because I have elementary-school-age kids and cannot stop myself from being heavily involved in their school and lives. And, since writing is a solo sport, if a friend is up for coffee or lunch or a walk, I’m there!
But I do try to work on my novel for at least two hours a day in addition to other writing work I have, and do a few other things everyday: read beautiful fiction, exercise, play music, and have some quality time with my family. And watch a good show at the end of the day with a glass of wine. Current favorite: Longmire.
