About Me


Susan Keatley received her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Princeton University, an MA in Anthropology (focus: archaeological chemistry) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and PhD in Chemistry (focus: genomics) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

She spent 3 years consulting for McKinsey & Company in the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors, and has taught science (physics, biology, and chemistry) for the past 7 years to middle school, high school, and college students.

She writes for the educational market and popular science venues, and is working on a picture book series and her first science fiction novel, entitled With Salt, about a mysterious murder in the Caribbean.  

She lives with her husband and daughter in New York City.
